Website and Branding Photography Boston
- Knowing who you are and where you are going is the first step in creating a brand. You want to first figure out what problem you are solving for your customers. What does your ideal client look like, and how do you find them?
That is where branding and branding photography come into play. In Branding Photography, you want to show your client what you do every day and the impact you can make on them and the world. You do that by having a set of images that clearly showcase your business and the principles that guide you to be the best at what you do. You want to show clients in images why you are the best at what you do and the best fit to hire them.
Branding images are not just a photo of you smiling with a big plant behind you (unless you are a florist). When capturing the images, you want to make sure the clothes you wear in the photos fit your brand. You want to look up your ideal client, know what speaks to them, and capture that in a set of images for your website and marketing.
Some of the elements to think about when planning what your brand will be are:
- Color Palette _ try and pick something timeless and neutral. Pick two main colors that will work. Think about different versions of those colors, think if you print it on White, will it stand out? If you print on black, how will it translate to a grayscale image?
- Typography - what font are you going to use?
- Logo- what quick graphic will be the logo for your business? Think Big, like Nike, and Target.
Did you know that RED is used in most major logos because it's eye-catching? Think about Stop Signs, Red Lights, and Taillights. They are red for a reason.
When finally getting to the point in your branding, you need to pull together your website photography is going to play a key role. Do you want just product photos, or do you need photos of people collaborating on a project? Do you need a team photo? Headshots? Small Groups of people?
