Smolak Farms<\/a> Engagement photos? It is one of those great little New England spots that few think of for engagement photos.\u00a0\u00a0 But in my mind it’s one of the lesser known spots for both engagement photos and for a wedding ceremony. There are so many great spots at Smolak for pictures for families and pictures for a bride and groom.\u00a0 This is why when Tamara asked me for a family fun spot, I was all over it!\u00a0 The day we got was a typical day in New England, hot and humid!\u00a0 The light was so soft though, I am so happy with what we got!\u00a0\u00a0 A few weeks later Tamara and Mike were married at the Steven’s Estate in North Andover<\/a>.\u00a0 Stay tuned for those photos.\u00a0 We promise we have a ton of photos to share, but most are Christmas Presents.\u00a0 We have to wait to unveil them.<\/p>\n

Tamara and Mike were a bit camera shy and that’s okay. I know how to work on getting the best out of them. In New England it is hard to find bold colors to photograph in the area. Everyone has white painted houses. At a farm you are likely to encounter a few great colors, and we did find some! It was also on the shaded side of the house, so it worked out well.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Any photo with a structure really makes me happy. I can photograph green and trees all day long, I always want a pop of color! I love this little house. I also really was thrilled to see the sun flare coming through the trees. I ended up warming this photo up a little in post production. This is one of the little cabins at the back of smolak.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The trees in this photo really do it for me. I normally don’t love an all green background, but with the lake and the light coming through the background it was one of my favorite photos of the day. I was absolutely standing in Mud when this happened.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I love the simple portraits sometimes. This is just one of those moments I told her to stand there and asked Mike to snuggle her.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I love the lighting in this photo. Tamara and Mike really make such a great couple. We had walked all through Smolak Farms to find a good spot with great light. The light was pretty hard in parts of the farm.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
