{"id":4515,"date":"2015-08-25T14:08:51","date_gmt":"2015-08-25T18:08:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cordelephotography.com\/blog\/?p=4515"},"modified":"2016-01-06T22:31:49","modified_gmt":"2016-01-07T03:31:49","slug":"surprise-engagement-session-gloucester-ma","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cordelephotography.com\/blog\/surprise-engagement-session-gloucester-ma\/","title":{"rendered":"Surprise Engagement Session &#8211; Gloucester, MA"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>A few weeks back I was contacted by Chris, from Pennsylvania, to help him with a surprise for his girlfriend, Kathleen. \u00a0He wanted to propose and capture it all in pictures. \u00a0I was totally hooked on the idea. \u00a0I recommended\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/gloucesterma.com\/wingaersheek-beach.cfm\">Wingaersheek Beach<\/a> in Gloucester, MA due to it&#8217;s fantastic sunsets, the cascading boulders, and the bright beach grass. \u00a0 We kept in touch up until the big day via email and texts. \u00a0Terrified that I was going to ruin the surprise, I kept saying things like &#8220;safe to talk&#8221; and then realized that could be completely misconstrued if happened upon by, say, Kathleen<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The official plan was that I was to be photographing kids on the beach and he was going to walk by and say &#8220;cute kids&#8221;. \u00a0 \u00a0I convinced a group of moms and kids to play along, but once those kiddos took to the rocks it got a little crazy. \u00a0 Picture me\u00a0screaming \u201cokay kids get together!\u201d and \u201ccloser!\u201d and \u201ceveryone scream HAPPY SUMMER\u201d\u2026<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Chris and Kathleen then walked by and he uttered the code words: cute kids. \u00a0Hoping to make him laugh a little bit I said, &#8220;I know.. but they are making me crazy on these rocks! \u00a0They didn\u2019t sign the insurance waiver!\u201d \u00a0I kept shooting the mini-mob scene and out of the corner of my eye I see Chris\u00a0throw a blanket down and get down on one knee. It happened SO SO ridiculously fast. \u00a0Kathleen was stunned! \u00a0The look on her face was priceless.\u00a0After the proposal I went over and gave her a hug and she was speechless.
