I love the color and the softness of the background. We took this photo outside in Boylston Massachusetts by an old church on a lake. It was such a cold day but these two were such troopers. We kept having to take off their jackets to get the full effect of their outfits. They took it all in stride!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 900px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all\" title=\"West Boylston Engagement\" src=\"http:\/\/cordelephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/043.jpg\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">There is nothing more New England than sitting under a tree that is changing colors and having it frame your subject.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 533px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all\" title=\"West Boylston Engagement\" src=\"http:\/\/cordelephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/050.jpg\" alt=\"Fall foilage photos\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">For this photo I wanted to really bring out the fall colors in the background. It was getting dark and it was one of the last photos that I took. I grabbed my long lens, backed up from them and then zoomed in. I dialed down to 2.8 and took the photo. It was pure magic because the blur behind them lets you know the colors were changing and sets the scene, but it also focuses you on the couple.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 900px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all\" title=\"West Boylston Engagement\" src=\"http:\/\/cordelephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/067.jpg\" alt=\"couple portraits on a lake in Boylston ma\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">The reflection of the trees in the lack, makes you almost miss the fact that there IS a Lake back there. The water on the lake was so still during our session it was amazing. I was able to lay on the ground and get them famed in with the tree and get a piece of the lake as well as the fall foliage in their engagement session.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 533px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all\" title=\"West Boylston Engagement\" src=\"http:\/\/cordelephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/077.jpg\" alt=\"standard couple portrait\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Doesn&#8217;t everyone take the obligatory newspaper photo shot for their engagement photos?I always make sure to take this photo as its the one that mom and dad always seem to ask for! I made sure the sun was lighting them correctly and then just had them stand together!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 533px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all\" title=\"West Boylston Engagement\" src=\"http:\/\/cordelephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/0761.jpg\" alt=\"Engagement photo of guy picking up girl\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">I always make sure to ask the groom &#8220;is your back okay&#8221; before having him lift the bride. This is one of my favorite photos to take and if the girl can kick her feet just right, it&#8217;s always a super cute photo. It has to be the right background to make it work. Here, I made sure to get down really low and get the leaves on the ground before having him pick her up. I love the juxtaposition of the trees around them.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 900px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all\" title=\"West Boylston Engagement\" src=\"http:\/\/cordelephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/086.jpg\" alt=\"Couple walks hand and hand\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Every couple needs that photo of them walking together to close out their signature book for the wedding. We were losing light fast and this was the last shot of the day as we walked up to our cars.
