{"id":1499,"date":"2011-10-18T02:09:44","date_gmt":"2011-10-18T02:09:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cordelephotography.com\/blog\/?p=1499"},"modified":"2014-06-13T15:55:14","modified_gmt":"2014-06-13T15:55:14","slug":"fairmont-copley-wedding-photos-boston","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cordelephotography.com\/blog\/fairmont-copley-wedding-photos-boston\/","title":{"rendered":"Fairmont Copley Wedding Photos Boston"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Christina and Shawn were married at St. Joseph in Belmont. \u00a0They had their <em>wedding<\/em>\u00a0at the<a title=\"Fairmont Copley Plaza\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fairmont.com\/CopleyPlaza\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0<em>Fairmont Copley<\/em>\u00a0Plaza Hotel in Boston<\/a>. \u00a0I love the Fairmont! \u00a0I always seem to have the best clients there, and the prettiest light. \u00a0 The interesting thing about this wedding was, my husband and I drove up to the wedding from Plymouth MA. \u00a0 We were visiting family. \u00a0 We left Plymouth with PLENTY of time for traffic. \u00a0We were so early, we pulled over to grab water at a store. \u00a0Then we sat, checked email, made sure our gear was ready and just went over the plan. \u00a0When it was time to go, Seth turned the key&#8230; nothing. \u00a0 \u00a0He made sure the car was in park, and tried again. \u00a0Nothing. \u00a0I JUMPED out of the car, grabbed my stuff and called a cab. We didn&#8217;t even stop to find out what was wrong with the car. \u00a0 In my defense, I drive a practically brand new car. \u00a0The car breaking down, isn&#8217;t even a THOUGHT in my head. \u00a0 We then took one VERY scary cab ride to the brides house, and then hopped on the trolley. \u00a0Crisis averted. \u00a0 (question I get asked, &#8220;what do you do in an emergency?&#8221; Answer: \u00a0Hop in a cab!&#8221;)<\/p>\n<p>Off to the church. <a title=\"St. Joseph Church\" href=\"http:\/\/www.stjoseph.belmont.ma.us\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0St. Josephs in Belmont<\/a> is a really popular church for weddings, I&#8217;ve done 6-8 weddings there over my career. \u00a0I seem to have a lot of Belmont brides (and they ALL know each other &#8211; but aren&#8217;t referrals, weird- right?) \u00a0 We pull up to the church, I hop out and go inside. \u00a0The church coordinator comes RUNNING up to me, and says &#8220;like the new rug??? I had it put in because of you!&#8221; \u00a0Oh how embarrassing&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Last year at <a href=\"http:\/\/cordelephotography.com\/blog\/renaissance-waterfront-boston-wedding-photos\/\">Meghan and Jeff&#8217;s wedding<\/a>, I was carrying my bag of camera gear in the church. \u00a0The rug was all bunched up (because it was old and coming up from the floor) I caught the rug with my foot, went FLYING into the church, knocked over a guest, and went flying into a groomsmen. Head First. \u00a0 <em>\u00a0True story<\/em>. \u00a0 The Groomsmen (God Bless him) caught me before I went head first into the back row of pews. \u00a0 He was my knight in shining armor. \u00a0Had I not been married, it could have been one of those &#8220;eye locking&#8221; moments where my hero saves me, and we live happily ever after. \u00a0 I was so thankful he caught me. \u00a0The bag I was carrying was so heavy, \u00a0it created more momentum for me to make a huge crash. \u00a0The coordinator saw it all happen. \u00a0 \u00a0It was so dramatic- \u00a0she convinced the church to replace the rug. \u00a0The embarrassing part, she remembered me. \u00a0(whimper). A year later, she remembered ME , the lone photographer out of ALL the photographers who go in there every weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Well, St. Joseph has a great rug&#8230;and I guess people can thank my clumsiness. \u00a0The rest of my wedding with Christina and Shawn went without a hitch \u00a0Below are the photos from the day! \u00a0 Beautiful bride and a handsome groom with a few local celebrities Side<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Cake:\u00a0<a href=\"www.cakes4occasions.com\" target=\"_blank\"> Cake for Occasions<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Flowers:\u00a0 Cutting Gardens Belmont<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"p3-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" title=\"Fairmont Copley Wedding Photos\" alt=\"Ring photo, Fairmont Copley Wedding Photos\" src=\"http:\/\/cordelephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/0092.jpg\" width=\"900\" height=\"700\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The cool thing about the dress was that it was her mother&#8217;s dress.\u00a0 She had it changed a bit.\u00a0 It was beautiful, and the veil was stunning with it!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"p3-insert-all width=\"900\" height=\"700\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One of the best parts of the wedding, was the Mother of the Grooms Toast. \u00a0She had given the bride a gift, and told her not to open it until she told her to. \u00a0They brought the present on the Trolly, to the church and then into the reception hall. Finally, in front of all the guests she was told she could open it. \u00a0Inside, was one of the funniest things I&#8217;d seen at a wedding. \u00a0The mother of the bride started with &#8220;inside this box, is something that is very special to Shawn&#8230;&#8221; \u00a0The bride opened it, and it was his baby blanket, and his teddy bear. She went on to say how she&#8217;d taken care of it for 30 plus some odd years, &#8220;and now.. it was her turn!&#8221; \u00a0 \u00a0 It was really sweet and funny. \u00a0The photos show the story.<\/p>\n<p>The look on Shawn&#8217;s face, is amazing.
