I was lucky enough to be hired by two fabulous clients from New York to shoot their Block Island Wedding Photo and Long Island Engagement session. I was happy when they booked me and I was able to drive out to Long Island taking the ferry to Orient Point and shoot their engagement photos. I secretly fell in love with Greenport, New York and all the vineyards. We started at Greenport which is on the North Fork of Long Island. Greenport is known for being a historic seaport district. We started with photos on the Marina known as Mitchel Park. From there, we wandered around the area of Front Street and ducked in the alley by Ralphs Famous Italian ices. After that we wandered over to the Village Blacksmith Visitors Center and used their rustic wood as a backdrop. We could have stopped there, but we ended up driving over to the Osprey Dominion Vineyard to get some vineyard shots!
Melissa and Brian are getting married next year at the Atlantic Inn on Block Island. One of my favorite places to shoot. I never realized I would be a destination wedding photographer taking boats and planes, but here I am traveling to New York and Florida!
I think my favorite part of this day was the Vineyard and the delicious bottle of wine we had after the shoot!
